Short Term: Next 12 Months
To establish Charitable Status which requires the creation of an annual income of £5,000 from fund raising activities, create a profile for BCW to support our activities moving forward. To be achieved by December 2010.
Medium Term: Next 2-5 Years.
BCW will support a local initiative to build a state of the art, world leading institute for medical research and surgical skills training in Plymouth. This will comprise educational facilities such as lecture theatres, seminar rooms, skills training rooms and a minimal access surgery training room. It will have cutting edge audiovisual facilities and high speed digital links. It will contain a research facility. This centre will act as the focus for training and research for doctors, nurses and allied health professionals who look after bowel cancer patients.
Long Term: Next 10 years.
To have made significant improvements in the way we diagnose and treat patients with bowel cancer by ongoing support of training and research in this area
